2017 Bowen Bull Sale Report

The 22nd annual Bowen Poll Hereford and Angus bull sale  held Thursday 20th July 2017

60 Poll Hereford bulls sold to average $9950 and 65 Angus bulls sold to average $9872. A great value sale with bulls to suit any budget, a large number bulls selling in the $4000 to $5000 price range.

The top selling Poll Hereford bulls included lot 11 Bowen Spark L76 sold to the O’Leary Family, Remolea Stud from Clifton, Qld. for $24,000. Alvio Trovatello, Glendan Park Stud Kyneton, Vic purchased Lot 62 Bowen Jet Fire M2 for $22,000.

The top selling Angus Bulls this year were both sold locally. Lot 69 Peakes Bowen Edmund L733 sold to Leeton Grazing, Barraba for $20,000. Lot 71 Peakes Bowen Outlier L718 purchased by R & G Bomford Barraba for $18,000.

This year over 95% of bulls sold to repeat buyers with bulls selling locally & interstate.
